Mock orange hydrosol – the caressing freshness of summertime blooms!

Mock orange hydrosol is a refreshing flowery water that is steam-distilled from philadelphus flowers. It has a light, sweet and floral aroma that smells like springtime. Flower water can calm and refresh the skin and is suitable for all skin types. Hydrosol is also excellent at reducing irritation and inflammation.

About the production of mock orange hydrosol

LUMI hydrosols are distilled from fresh local Estonian plants, which means that our hydrosols and serums ARE NOT production residues of essential oils. We use both steam distillation and a method that allows us to capture the plant’s volatile components and the cell water. Conventional essential oils are produced using a high-pressure method that destroys valuable cell water. Also, live cell water cannot be obtained from dried plant material. The plants must be fresh! The cell water full of nutrient-rich minerals, phytosterols, antioxidants, and countless valuable botanical chemicals gives hydrosol its aromatic and therapeutic properties.

How to use philadelphus hydrosol?

USE AS A TONIC– clean your skin and spray the hydrosol directly on your face or body. Soothes irritated skin. Continue treatment with cream or serum. 

USE ON HAIR – A pleasant refreshener on the beach or as a cooling soother after sunbathing,

LUMI products are special – natural, fresh and minimally processed, so please protect them from direct sunlight. The hydrosol stays best for your skin for up to six months after opening. If you take a break from use, store the product in a fridge, as this will slightly extend the shelf life of the hydrosol.
