Usage

LA-LAA Baby Oil is an incredibly versatile product that’s designed to work brilliantly in lots of different situations. There are no specific usage guidelines for the oil, but below are just some examples of scenarios that LA-LAA’s soothing and softening properties make it perfect for:

For Babies:

• A daily oil to protect and soften babies’ skin. Apply to skin directly after washing or add LA-LAA to bathwater.
• Helps treat baby dandruff.
• Soothes flaking and softens crusts, as well as helping skin recover faster.

For Parents:

• When nipples become tender whilst breastfeeding, LA-LAA provides soothing and protection. Thanks to the oil’s food-grade composition, there is no need to worry about trace amounts of oil being consumed by breastfeeding infants.
• LA-LAA is well-suited to massaging the abdomen and other similar areas of skin during pregnancy to prevent the formation of stretch marks.
• Applying LA-LAA to your baby’s bottom before bedtime can help make night-times easier! With baby oil applied, night changes are considerably less hassle, as any mess can be removed simply with paper towels, rather than needing a full wash with each change. Additionally, the oil will keep your baby’s skin protected from any mess.

LA-LAA Baby Oil is suitable for all ages and all skin types, including those with extra sensitive skin.

Lullaby Rescue Balm can be used:

• For the prevention and care of diaper dermatitis affecting infants, the elderly, and anyone else who may need such care.
• For the care of skin showing symptoms of perioral dermatitis, eczema, acne, skin abrasions, hives, or sun allergies.
• To relieve skin irritation caused by excessive sweating in skin folds.
• To promote wound healing and skin regeneration.
• To prevent the onset of bacterial infections after the skin barrier is broken or weakened; for example, after shaving or hair removal.
• For the protection of skin from sunburn and other sun-related damage thanks to Lullaby’s high zinc oxide content (25%). The balm’s protection is approximate to an SPF 15 rating. The balm can be particularly useful for those with sensitive skin that are allergic to sun creams.

Apply Lullaby Rescue Balm to areas of skin that require care or protection, such as damaged or irritated skin, recently shaved areas, and the diaper region. Apply the balm as frequently as necessary to relieve irritation and protect affected skin.

For sun protection, apply evenly onto skin and reapply after swimming or getting skin wet.

Tips!

• Lullaby can easily spread onto clothes, bed linen, and other fabrics when first applied. Try to avoid dressing immediately after application, and allow time for the skin to absorb the balm.
• The raspberry seed oil included in LA-LAA Baby Oil has been shown to provide mild protection from the sun’s UVA and UVB rays (comparable to titanium dioxide – SPF 8 for UVA rays and SPF 25+ for UVB rays. LA-LAA also contains milk thistle oil and hemp seed oil, both of which reduce oxidative stress. Together, these three oils make LA-LAA suitable for protection from mild sun exposure for adults for short periods of time. However, the best protection from UV radiation will always be to wear appropriate clothing and limit your sun exposure if possible!

Remember

LUMI products are unique – chemical free, fresh, and minimally processed – so please protect them from direct sunlight. LA-LAA Baby Oil and Lullaby Rescue Balm are most effective up to six months after opening. If you decide to take a break from using our products, store in the refrigerator to slightly extend their life. As with all natural ingredients, however – the fresher, the better!
