Skincare Routine for Acne-prone Skin

THE SKINCARE SET INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING

AHA-BHA cleansing milk (100 ml)

This mild-yet-effective cleansing milk was developed to care for acne-prone skin and provide maximum results without dehydrating the skin.

The natural blend of AHA and BHA acids deeply cleanses pores and exfoliates cornified skin. The cleansing milk provides moisturising plant extracts with better access to tissues in need of nourishment. Linoleic acid from hemp seed oil reduces cornification processes, and gamma-linolic acid soothes irritation. As a result, the skin’s defences are strengthened, pores are smaller and less clogged, and
complexion improves.

Key ingredients

• Natural fruit acid complex – a multifunctional blend containing alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs). The main function of AHAs lies in their keratinolytic ability; they weaken the connections between dead skin cells, causing them to peel off, resulting in a fresher look and fewer clogged pores.
• Organic anti-acne complex – a unique blend of Copaifera officinalis (balsam copaiba) resin from the Amazon rainforest, Carapa guianensis (andiroba) seed oil, and Euterpe oleracea (açaí palm) pulp oil. Studies have shown that after 48 consecutive days of use, the complex reduces the incidence of acne lesions by up to 42.9%. The complex’s effects are noticeable after just three weeks of use.
• White willow extract is a unique source of natural salicylic acid and one of the most widely used compounds in the treatment of acne-prone facial skin. Salicylic acid reduces fat production and has an exfoliating effect.
• Rosemary extract contains antioxidant phenolic compounds, which also provide anti-inflammatory effects. Rosemary also gives LUMI Tundra series products their characteristic delicate and soothing scent.
• Hemp oil is rich in linoleic acid, which helps reduce skin keratinization and clogged pores. It also contains gamma-linolenic acid, which has a soothing effect on skin.

Using the cleansing milk

Use to clean skin every morning and/or evening. The cleansing milk can be used in a variety of ways. Apply to a cotton pad and remove excess grease and dirt from the face, before rinsing with lukewarm water. Alternatively, massage the milk directly
onto damp skin with your hands. Rinse with lukewarm water.

You may also use the cleansing milk as a face mask for deeper cleansing. Keep the cleansing milk on your face for about 2 minutes the first few times using it as a mask. After that, you can try keeping the mask on your face for 3-5 minutes. Do not use for
more than 10 minutes at a time.

For sensitive skin, we recommend using the Tundra AHA-BHA Cleansing Milk as a shorter course of treatment only due to the high lactic acid content. When the condition of your facial skin has visibly improved, we recommend using a LUMI cleansing milk with lower lactic acid content.

Cleansing milk can temporarily cause minor skin redness due to the high content of bioactive substances. If it is your first time using the product, we recommend applying the product to dry rather than damp skin to reduce the effect of bioactive
substances.

Yarrow mist with salicylic acid (100 ml)

Yarrow is an irreplaceable medicinal plant that has long been prized in natural medicine for its anti-inflammatory and soothing effects. Used as a toner or refreshing spray, this clarifying yarrow mist supports the skin’s natural balance. The yarrow mist restores and bolsters acne-prone skin whilst also being gentle enough for hypersensitive skin. Local Estonian yarrow flowers are steam distilled to ensure as much of the plant’s valuable properties are preserved.

As Versatile As It Is Effective

Tip! We recommend lightly shaking the mist spray before each use to ensure the beneficial ingredients found within are thoroughly mixed. This ensures that each spray contains an optimal ratio of ingredients.

USE AS A TONER: Begin by applying the spray onto a cotton pad. Gently massage your entire face with the pad. This method effectively cleanses the skin’s surface, leaving it balanced and refreshed.

USE AS A FRESHENER: Spray directly onto your skin to replenish its natural defences. The mist spray can be applied as a primer under makeup for a smooth and flawless base. Alternatively, spritz the face after applying makeup to refresh your complexion and reawaken your senses.

USE AS A MAKEUP SPRAY: Apply the mist spray onto your makeup sponge to hydrate and prepare it for makeup products. The spray can also be used to dampen eye makeup brushes, enhancing the intensity of eyeshadow pigments.

AHA-BHA moisturising cream (50 ml)

Hydrating skin is essential when caring for acne-prone skin.

LUMI’s unique, natural approach combats skin problems in two steps. Firstly, the valuable AHA-BHA acid blend (salicylic, lactic, malic, glycolic, and citric acid) helps reduce and prevent blockages. Secondly, antioxidants, vitamins, and fatty acids from vegetable oils increase the skin’s defences. As a result, skin redness and excessive sebum secretion is reduced. Balanced skin is better able to protect itself from stressors and stays radiant, nourished, and moisturised.

• Panthenol soothes irritated skin, restoring its natural balance.Massage the cream on clean skin in the morning and/or evening after using cleansing milk and toner to hydrate and protect the skin.

Massage onto clean facial skin in the morning and/or evening after using cleansing milk and tonic to hydrate and protect the skin. If you feel that the moisture balance of your facial skin has returned to normal as a result of continuous use, feel free to consider using the cream only once a day or reducing the amount used.

Not suitable for use with prescribed or over-the-counter medication (topical or oral)containing retinol or its derivatives.

Remember

LUMI products are unique – chemical free, fresh, and minimally processed – so please protect them from direct sunlight. LUMI Tundra products are most effective up to six months after opening. If you decide to take a break from using our products, store in the refrigerator to slightly extend their life. As with all natural ingredients, however – the fresher, the better!
